Job Overview

Our client an international manufacture of hi-precision miniature and micro miniature electronic connectors now has an immediate need for a high energy individual with a solid understanding of the interconnect industry and the customer base in the South East and Mid Atlantic territory’s to  be responsible for direct sales to customer in the communications, consumer electronics, Medical, automotive and industrial market segments. Will also support/work with a network of manufacturers’ reps. 

Duties will include:

 –  Establish and maintain relationships with customer’s technical and supply management teams

–  Map customer personnel to gain better understanding of the customer and increase customer    

    Relationships.

–  Partner with Field Application and Design Engineers to address customer needs with custom   

   solutions

–  Develop design wins to support company growth requirements

–  Assist in specifications and features of new products to align with customer requirements.

–  Communicate with company management and global locations on new opportunities

–  Prepare presentations and effectively communicate solutions and value propositions to 

   customers. 

–  Prepare accurate sales forecasts, track performance metrics, and prepare detailed reports to 

   keep management informed of territory progress.

Qualifications

 •Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering

•3+ years of experience selling electronic connectors.  

•Specific experience knowledge of R.F., coaxial, hi-speed connectors would be a plus.                                                                                                  

Job Requirements

•Ability to travel within the region as required, approx. 30%.

•Technically competent with connector technology, mechanical, and electrical

•Proven track record working directly with strategic accounts.

•Experience working with Manufacturers Reps.

•Recent knowledge of customers and customer contacts in specified territory

•Strong organizational and communication skills

•Understanding of manufacturing processes, both connector processes – internal to company and harness and PCB assembly at customer location.
