They have an expansive global presence in research anddevelopment, manufacturing, and sales. They design and manufacture a wide rangeof innovative connectors as well as cable assemblies for diverse applicationsincluding server, storage, data center, mobile, RF, networking, industrial,business equipment, and automotive.

Position: Global AccountManager

Location: Bay Area, CA

The  High Speed Products Group is the market leader forhigh speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market(Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Thier products helpto enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the majorTier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locationsglobally and are currently seeking a Global Account Manager to join our WestCoast Sales team located in the bay area of  CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thier customer’s ultimate successdepends on the companies ability to solve cutting edge interconnect problems in relation to highbandwidth signal transmission. They  value thier relationships with these companiesand  depend on thier Sales and Field Applications Engineering Teams to fosterthis ongoing partnership.

 As a Global Account Manager,you interface with our external customers and internal global product development,product marketing and application teams. Sell and promote all  productswithin defined accounts, either through original equipment manufacturers (OEMcustomers) and/or distributors, via successful design win (AVL) activities andtotal channel management. Help devise strategies to differentiate thier productsand solutions from thier competitors. Broaden customer base and increasepenetration at key global accounts.

 Provide sales leadership for a large Global AccountCustomers, and work closely with Field Applications Engineers and Product Development groups.

•Promote and sell the companies products with established customers and developingnew prospects.

Identify all interconnect opportunities/applicationsof company products for clients and work with the customers engineering teams to designin new   

  products.

•Develop and implement sales plan and growth strategy for customers

Meet and exceed strategic objectives and establishedsales quota via new design wins and management of the entire sales channel.

Motivate existing and potential customers within aglobal account to increase product content on the design.

Support technical aspects of the sales cycle includingmarketing support for the development and implementation of the companies products.

•Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technicalinquiries.

•Track orders and revenue by customer

Build rapport and provide customer support bysupplying information related to samples, delivery dates, part drawings andspecifications, quality issues, credit issues, etc.

•Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition in your accounts.

•Keep informed of new products and other general information of interest tocustomers.

• Travel required

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Business/Marketing with a technical background orBS Engineering with a   Business/Marketing aptitude

•Knowledge and understanding of interconnect solutions industry preferred

Field sales and applications experience on globalaccount level customer with interconnect,  passive, electromechanical components

• Knowledge of internationalbusiness practices a plus

 SKILLS:

Sales skills to successfully negotiate a technicaldesign win, approved vendor status, contracts, and customer partnership.

Technically astute with an ability to acquireextensive product and application knowledge, with an ability to assess, and provide solutionsfor, customer 

  design challenges/needs.

Self-motivated and driven to identify, qualify andpursue new customers and new markets

•Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerialfunctions of a business

•Strong oral and written communications to provide high level customer serviceand build relationships

•Organizational skills to anticipate, prioritize, plan, organize to meet andexceed strategic objectives

•Leadership skills to assess and drive new opportunities in a global accountenvironment

•Knowledge of modeling tools Pro E or SolidWorks.

• Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice products .
