Job Overview

Our client one of the world’s largest providers of high-technology interconnects and cable assembly solutions enable the Electronics Revolution across virtually every end market including Automotive, Broadband Communications, Commercial Aerospace, Defense, Industrial, Information Technology and Data Communications, Mobile Devices and Mobile Networks. 

Their Power Solutions Group, is the market leader for power electrical connectors and cables for the Telecom/Datacom Market serving (Storage, Servers, Networks, etc.). They are seeking a motivated, experienced, extremely agile, growth-oriented Global Operations Director to join our team in the Harrisburg PA area. This role will be reporting directly to the General Manager of the Power Solutions Business Unit. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This is a great opportunity for a strong operations executive and system thinker / builder to directly impact business success. As a member of the leadership team, this role provides invaluable exposure to broad business strategic efforts where you can strongly influence, and 

•oversee and guide a network of manufacturing units to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution; define and leverage key operational metrics to drive ownership of performance and efficiency at all manufacturing units. 

•provide strategic direction and effective tactical plans that maximize productivity, quality, operating costs and the on-time and accurate delivery to customers. 

•drive a culture of planning, process excellence and continuous improvement in program management, product releases, manufacturing, material flow through effective use of lean manufacturing principles. 

•establish a capital and resource plan that aligns to the future needs of the business, build the necessary competencies, capabilities, and effective infrastructure in operations in advance of those needs. 

•partner with Finance to manage the operations budget, measure and track P&L, ROI deliverables. 

•serve as a role model of leadership. Select, develop and coach individuals while building a high performing team. 

•have the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

This role requires thinking strategically and operating within the complexities of a fast-paced, customer-demanding environment. Ideally, the candidate will be an accomplished Operations executive with broad business background and global experience in manufacturing and supply chain operations. 

•BS, Masters, or equivalent degree in Operations Management or a related/equivalent technical discipline required 

•5+ years of current operations management, capacity management and supply chain planning experience 

•Experience within the Interconnect industry 

•Demonstrated strong leadership and multi-plant management experience in a cross-culture position 

•Creativity, adaptability, and strong project management to in a rapidly changing, multi-tasking environment. 

•Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Able to analyze manufacturing processes toward optimization using continuous process improvement tools (i.e.., Six Sigma and Lean) 

•Proven Financial and Analytical Aptitude: Ability to interpret and analyze data, information and financial statements, understand costing methodologies and various methods of cost/benefit analysis.
