Our client is a market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom and Diverse markets (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.) Is currently seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join their West Coast Sales team in Santa Clara, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Field Applications Engineer you will interface with customers engineering teams, and internal product development, product marketing, and sales teams.
•Be the Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle
•Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of companies products
•Prepare materials and participate in product presentations
•Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries
•Help devise strategies to differentiate company products and solutions from competitors
•Meet and exceed strategic objectives
•Some travel will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors in an Engineering field:
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
The role will draw on either your electronic engineering background (signal transmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity) and / or your mechanical engineering background (materials, tolerance analysis, CAD tools).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with customers, providing technical development assistance to produce design wins.
- Experience with Data communications equipment for Data Centers.
- Experience working closely with sales and marketing.
- Experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products
- Experience with connectors, backplanes, cable assemblies prefered but experience with any electromechanical components will be considered.
