Job Overview

Our client a manufacturer of electronic connectors for consumer electronics and enterprise computing industries is actively seeking a high energy individual with a solid understanding of electrical interconnects and familiar with the Bay Area customer base. The candidate will have direct engagement with key customers. The candidate must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with customers and colleagues throughout the company. This position can be based from home office and occasionally going in to the office for meetings and to work with the applications engineers, so the candidate must be in the Bay Area and have experience selling into accounts in the Bay Area

– Develop sales plan for assigned accounts in the Bay Area

– Engage and develop new/emerging accounts within assigned Sales Territory

– Establish and maintain relationships with customer’s technical and supply management teams, F2F and virtually

– Collaborate with Field Applications and Design Engineers to address customers’ needs

– Develop design wins to support company growth objectives

– Assist in design specs/features and launch of new products

– Utilize CRM as a tool to customer planning, reporting, and tracking of opportunities

– Communicate with management and global locations on new opportunities

– Prepare presentations and present proposals

– Prepare forecasts and reports as required by management to meet company objectives

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

– 5+ years of sales experience and or applications engineering experience.

– 5+ years in the sales of electronic connectors.

Job Requirements

– Technically competent with electrical interconnect technologies

– Proven track record working directly with strategic accounts

– Recent Knowledge of customers and customer contacts in the Bay Area

– Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively plan, organize and coordinate multiple activities.

– Understanding of the manufacturing and assembly processes of electronic interconnect components
